Set your device’s preferred charge limit once and Charge Guard iQ takes care of the rest, automatically cutting power when the limit is reached to help prevent overcharging. It’s equipped with a 10-hour safety shut-off for extra piece of mind, and surge protection to help shield devices from unexpected power spikes. The clear blue light indicator shows when power is flowing and when charging is complete.

How to use Charge Guard iQ

STEP 1 - Before using Charge Guard iQ

Charge your device to the level you normally consider "fully charged", using the manufacturers instructions. (Typically 90 - 100% for lithium-ion batteries, and 80% for ternary lithium batteries)

STEP 2 - Setting up Charge Guard

Plug your Charge Guard iQ into a power outlet.
Connect your devices charger plug to the socket on the Charge Guard iQ, and ensure your device is connected to the charger.

STEP 3

a) Press the iQ button once, it will illuminate solid blue.
b) Press and hold the iQ button for 7 seconds until it begins flashing blue.
c) Release the button and it will return to solid blue.

You have 1 minute to complete steps (a) to (b). If more than 1 minute passes, unplug your Charge Guard iQ and restart Step 2.

Step 4

Leave everything connected. After 1 minute, the iQ button will begin flashing for a further 5 minutes. The Charge Guard iQ will then automatically turn off and cut power to your device.

Your target charge level is now saved in your Charge Guard iQ's memory.

Next time you charge your device

Connect your device's charger plug to the socket on your Charge Guard iQ. Press the iQ button once. The button will illuminate solid blue until your device reaches your target level.
Once your target charge level is reached, the iQ button will flash blue for 5 minutes and then cut the power.

Essential Safety Tips

Never Charge Overnight

Don’t charge overnight and avoid leaving unattended while charging.

Charge in the Open

Always charge on hard, flat surfaces. Light EVs should always be charged away from living spaces.
